Everyone Can Sparkle day!

We've had a fantastic 'Everyone Can Sparkle' day! The children took part in a range of activities to celebrate difference and diversity.

A visit from the Ice Cream Van!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came to our summer fair. It was a wonderful afternoon - perfect weather, beautiful singing, yummy cakes and lots of fun games!

No matter what the weather, there is always lots of learning and exploring to be done in the forest!

Celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

To celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the PTFA held a Jubilee Tea Party in the school grounds. This was a huge success, with parents/families and members of the local community coming together to celebrate. The children put on fantastic performances as well as having an opportunity to dress in 1950s clothes and learn dance moves from this era.

Whole school Easter bingo and Bunny Drive (plus a final dance and conga with Miss Sharratt)

Congratulations to our School Choir, runners up in this year’s Intu Christmas Choir Competition on their first year of entry - very well done!

Today Clifton School pupils wore something yellow for World Mental Health Day, collecting donations for YoungMinds charity. Class 3 took part in a special assembly and gave us their top 10 tips for good mental health. And Class 1 bought in their sunflowers they have grown from seed. #helloyellow

A really lovely thought provoking harvest service today. All classes contributed to the service and a beautiful autumnal song from our choir.

Macmillan Coffee Morning at School today - so many cakes 🧁 it was lovely to see families enjoying a tea or coffee and a chat before school. Children worked hard baking and their effort was amazing - a winner was picked for each year group. Well done to everybody involved.

Class 3 enjoyed an afternoon of Easter experiences with our friends at Ashbourne Methodist Church.

Clifton pupils understand that litter damages the environment and is a danger to wildlife. So we were delighted to take part in the Keep Britain Tidy school litter pick on a beautiful spring day in Clifton! We collected more than 13kgs of rubbish - well done everyone!

Clifton's School Council helped to organise a fun event on Comic Relief Day: wear pyjamas and buy cake to raise funds. Well done everyone 😆!

Every year before Shrovetide, Tim and Simon kindly visit us at Clifton to show the balls they've painted and share all their fabulous facts and stories. We love asking them lots of questions!

KS2 children enjoyed wonderful experiences during their three day stay at the White Hall Outdoor Centre in Buxton. Here are some photographs of the many adventures they shared!

Here are all of the fantastic children who took part in KS2's 'Clifton's Got Talent'. We enjoyed all their hard work and talents. It was a wonderful day, well done to everyone who took part!

Wow - Father Christmas found time in his busy schedule to drop in and deliver some presents to Clifton pupils just in time for the holiday. Thank you!

We all enjoyed wearing Christmas jumpers to school; we were very happy to support fundraising by Save the Children!

Whole school visit to Elim Pentecostal Church. The children took part in Worship and wrote thoughtful messages to be added to the food bank donations over Christmas.

After many, many years as Clifton School's caretaker, Mrs Gadsby has retired. We had a bit of a 'do' for her: she was showered with kind words, cards and gifts too. Goodbye and thank you Mrs Gadsby!

These thoughtful girls wrote a special prayer for Mrs Gadsby which they read for us.

'Heroes of Troy' - the Year 4,5 & 6 children put on a wonderful summer performance. The singing, dancing and acting was sensational! Well done!

We all enjoyed performing at QEGS.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful performance of 'The Wind in the Willows'. We were delighted by fabulous acting, costumes and scenery. We loved the comedy and fun. Best of all, we sang as the chorus and some pupils even helped out by performing as supporting actors!
