At Clifton Primary School, we aim for our language education to foster pupils' curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world, enabling pupils to express their ideas and thoughts in another language. Our current language provision is French in which children are taught to understand and respond in both speech and writing.
French is currently taught using the Classroom Secrets Scheme of Work and resources.
All lessons allow children to develop their language skills in relevant, engaging and meaningful contexts. Learning happens through a great range of interactive activities, role-play, songs, games and stories.
By the end of their journey at Clifton CE Primary School, we aim for all children to have gained a language qualification as a result of their progressive learning over time.
